Welcome to the Privacy Statement (“Statement”) for www.carrworkplaces.com (“Site”) operated by Preferred Office Properties, LLC, a District of Columbia limited liability company d/b/a Carr Workplaces (as applicable, “we”, “us or “our”). We created this Privacy Statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices. We reserve the right to revise this Statement at any time without notice. When this Statement is revised in a material way, we will post the updated version on the Site.
We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer the Site. Your IP address is used to gather broad demographic information. We collect and store statistics and other information about the online activities of our users on an aggregated (collected) basis. For example, we track the number of people who view each page, the order in which pages are viewed, and other information to learn which features are the most popular and to refine our design and marketing efforts.
The Site uses an online request form for you to request information regarding our service offerings. We collect visitor contact information (e-mail address) and name and company information (“Contact Information”). Contact Information is used to send you information about our services and the services of our business partners. Your Contact Information may also be used to deliver to you our services or to notify you of business opportunities that we think may be of interest to you. You may opt-out of receiving such notices from us, as noted below. In situations where your Contact Information is collected by third parties under contract with us, we require these third parties exercise reasonable care to protect your Contact Information and restrict the use of your Contact Information to the purposes for which it was provided.
When you visit the Site, we use “cookies” and similar technologies to help us recognize and serve you better. Cookies are small files that contain information sent by a web site that is saved on your computer’s hard drive. Cookies enable us to gather data such as web pages visited, links clicked, and material download. Cookies also are used to put a unique identifier on your computer. This helps us to generate statistics regarding usage of our websites, such as the percentage of repeat visitors. In situations where it is possible to do so, this unique identifier may be linked to Contact Information. Third-party advertising companies that work with us may also use cookies and similar technologies to collect Non-Personal Information from the Site and other web sites for a variety of purposes including providing you with advertisements that are likely to be of interest to you. This type of ad customization is sometimes referred to as “behavioral advertising.”
Information collected on the Site is stored on secure servers, which are protected by firewalls and other commercially reasonable measures intended to protect our servers from unauthorized access. However, no security system is impenetrable, and these systems could become accessible in the event of a security breach. We have controls in place that are designed to detect potential data breaches, contain and minimize the loss of data, and conduct forensic investigations of a breach. Our staff is required to take reasonable measures to ensure that unauthorized persons cannot view or access your Contact Information. Employees who violate our privacy policies are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. We cannot enforce or control the security of the computers, electronic devices, or electronic communication method that you may use to send e-mails and submit information to us over the Internet.
Although you may request to opt-out of sharing Contact Information with us and/or our business partners for marketing purposes, we may still disclose your Contact Information to third parties for the following purposes: (1) to comply with a court order, subpoena, search warrant or other valid legal process; (2) to comply with legal, regulatory or administrative requirements of any governmental authorities; (3) to protect and defend us , or our affiliates, and all of their or our officers, directors, employees, attorneys and agents in connection with any legal action, claim or dispute; (4) to satisfy any contractual obligation to indemnify our contractors, business partners or other third parties in connection with any legal action, claim or dispute; (5) to enforce any terms of use for the Site; (6) to prevent fraud; and (7) otherwise with consent or as permitted or required by law.
